I explore the traces of human existence through light, material, and participation.
Chaos, often dismissed as disorder, is presented here as a fundamental mark of life—what captivates and defines us. From poetry and music to theater and gossip, chaos burns brightest, leaving an indelible trace of inspiration and comfort. The work consists of wooden cubes wrapped in felt, a material that itself holds marks of time and texture. Many cubes contain construction lights, which can be turned on and off to create endless iterations of the piece. This participatory artwork invites viewers to engage directly, using switches to interact with the lights. In doing so, participants leave their own temporary mark on the work, embodying the theme of individual and collective traces while highlighting the interplay between control, chaos, and creativity.
